Thousands of children in Busoga sub region are living in extreme poverty. Most of these children are Orphans who lost either one or both parents to the tragic HIV/AIDS. Due to stigma and torture from their caretakers some children end up on the streets and as a result many are psychologically disturbed and therefore to bring back this children to their normal state of mind, psycho-social support is the key to continue re-assurance that their future brighten.
This done through counselling, career guidance as well as encouraging them to set goals which would help them to achieve their future. A number of expertise in the area are usually hired to do that and a lot of examples of successful people in life who has made it from grass to grace are always given priority. Also different peer mentors are brought to them and indeed this has put sense of hope and focus in our precious children.
